Training In The Pews
This Sunday, we sang: “Thy Word” “I Will Call Upon the Lord” “This Little Light of Mine” “He’s Got the Whole World” “I Have Hidden Your Word”
The Bible Lesson was taught by Emily Cornelius (one of our RUF interns!)
on I Peter 2:4-10.
The kids learned about how Jesus is the cornerstone of the church (us! His body of believers!). We need Jesus to build everything on! Examples were a tower of blocks and how if you pull out the very important block on the bottom (the “cornerstone”), the whole tower will crumble and fall! Also, the kids found that the more of them that linked arms and surrounded Mrs. Emily’s valuables, the harder it was for her to steal them! (thus, the more we stand together as a body of believers- helping each other to stand firm, the stronger we are!).
